OK not so much the getting fat part, however this is one of the best things I’ve seen in ages - totally put a smile on my face.

I got this tattoo last Tuesday and this picture was taken shortly after completion (so it’s rather fresh and still in the process of healing as we speak).

The artist was Toby at Shanghai Charlie’s in Surry Hills. He did a wonderful job. I chose him specifically because the common theme with his work was great art with bold colour that really pops and strong lines.

Why the cupcake? I’ve always liked to live my life with a bit of glamour and colour. I’m the person that tsk tsk’s the people in their pyjama pants in the supermarket! More specifically I am a fan of all things girly and retro. The bow and the cherry were important elements to pull that all together. Besides all that, it’s like a little explosion of happiness and colour each time I look down at my wrist.

Life’s too short to not smile often.
